Description
Three stones in strong, vivid tones adorn the new models in the PIUMA collection.
Handmade by a resin that reproduces the effect of stone, our three new PIUMA colours are inspired by Agate, Carnelian and Amethyst and their symbolism.
The name agate derives from the Greek word “achates”, the river where in ancient times large quantities of this stone were found and extracted. The meaning attributed to agate is 'stone of magic that brings calm and peace'.
With its yellow gold finish, the new PIUMA Agata precisely inspires this sense of inner well-being.
Carnelian, a well-known variety of chalcedony belonging to the quartz family, whose term derives from the Latin “carnis”, meaning “meat”, a stone so called because of its coloring. The Romans used carnelian to make wax seal stamps in mail or other important documents, as hot wax does not stick to carnelian.
PIUMA Corniola, characterized by its platinum finish, warms the heart, instils optimism and vitality.
Amethyst is a variety of quartz, characterized by the presence of purplish shades. It often originates in sub-alkaline basaltic rocks. Known to man since 3,000 BC, this crystal was mined and venerated in Egypt, South Africa and Mesopotamia. The name amethyst derives from the Greek “améthystos” meaning “not drunk”, an etymology at the basis of one of the most fascinating myths in history.
Our PIUMA Ametista, also with yellow gold finish, is inspired by one of the longest-lived precious
stones, a symbol of the elixir of life.
Handmade in 219 pieces, the new colours of the PIUMA collection Agata, Ametista and Corniola
feature a converter/cartridge filling system and are fitted with our 18ct nibs, from size EEF to the
