The Radius brand was introduced in 1934 by the Turin-based S.A.F.I.S. (Società Anonima Fabbrica Italiana Stilografiche).
Technique and Quality Materials
The Radius fountain pens of the 1930s adopted the classic loading systems of the time: bottom button and side lever. What distinguished them was the care of the materials and the refined color combinations.
Innovation and Design
Towards the end of the 1930s, Radius introduced a revolutionary model: the Radius Trasparente. This model combined a traditional loading system with a transparent tank, which allowed the ink level to be seen. Made with high-quality celluloids with a geometric design.
Introduction of the Piston
After the Second World War, Radius introduced the piston loading system. The models of these years had more modern lines, without sacrificing artisanal quality.
