The origins of Graf Von Faber Castell, known more simply as Faber Castell, even date back to the eighteenth century (1761 to be precise), it is well known for the production of pencils which is dated with its origins. Not everyone knows, however, that it has also been very active in the production of pens for almost 90 years, since Osmia became a division of Faber Castell in 1935. Faber Castell, with the collaboration first and then the acquisition (1951), inherited the prestige of the brand, which in turn was further elevated by the quality of the German manufacturer's products. Unlike the other players in the pen sector, Faber Castell ceased the production of fountain pens in the mid-70s of the last century, shifting its activities to ballpoint and roller pens.
