Following the award-winning Samurai (2018) and Viking (2019), Gladiator is a monument to the art of combat that travels further back in time – and closer to home – than its predecessors.

Held for over 500 years, the Gladiator Games of Ancient Rome are steeped in myth and legend – its iconic fighters immortalized throughout history and in the worlds of literature, art, film and gaming.

Gladiator is offered in the ultimate edition of 105 sterling silver fountain pens and five pieces crafted from 18k solid gold – a reference to 105 BC, when gladiator fights were first staged as a public spectacle.

The editions' design follows the craftsmanship of its Warriors predecessors, with meticulously detailed armor and weapons, interactive points of articulation, Power-Push padding and extravagant staging.

In the silver edition, the burnished finishes are accented with yellow vermeil details to highlight symbols of power and strength, including figures of imperial eagles, lions, Mars, Medusa and the SPQR emblem of the Empire. The figure's articulated arms are complemented by a hinged visor – also in vermeil – which can be lifted to reveal the warrior's face. A studded leather skirt is fitted to the base of the hood and a replica Gladius sword is supplied as a letter opener.

An 8mm nib (EF, F, M, B, Stub 1.1) brandishes the Roman coat of arms on 18k yellow gold and is complemented by the patented Power-Push filling mechanism.

The custom packaging for Gladiator is inspired by the popular legend, with a 322 x 142mm circular 3D model of Rome's famous Colosseum forming the backdrop to the edition. The edition also comes with display plinths for each component and a vegan leather tool roll for travel. A heat-stamped outer box features the edition logo and includes a diagram of the legendary arena of Ancient Rome.
