PACKAGING

On November 4, 1922, the archaeologist and Egyptologist The British Howard Carter unearthed the tomb of Tutankhamun, twelfth pharaoh of the XVIII dynasty of Egypt. Carter had waited for thirty years that moment and its discovery sent the whole world into raptures.

The tomb of the young ruler remains to this day the only Egyptian royal burial site found completely intact. Left undisturbed for 3,300 years, they were preserved inside more than 5,000 precious artifacts. In his camera funerary, Tutankhamun's mummy lay exactly as it was buried, guarded inside sarcophagi nestled in each other.

The innermost sarcophagus, 188 cm long, had been made with 110 kilograms of solid gold, glass and precious stones. A century after his discovery, the pharaoh awaits a new sumptuous house in the Great Egyptian Museum of Giza.
